Xiaomi 18 Pro Is Going Global in November: Price, Specs and Rear Screen

Xiaomi announced the global move on November 2, 2026, saying the 18 Pro series is going global this month. That matters because the previous generation, the 17 Pro series, never left China. This time, buyers outside China get a real shot at the phone — though Xiaomi has not yet said which markets go first, or what it will cost outside China.
A second screen, and a privacy trick
The 18 Pro keeps the rear display from last year's model, now built around Xiaomi's Xiao AI assistant. The 2.7-inch panel on the back runs at 120Hz and works as a selfie viewfinder for the main camera, so you can frame a self-portrait with the big rear sensor instead of the front camera. It is a genuinely useful second screen, not a decoration — and it is the feature most rivals simply do not offer.
The main screen has its own trick. Xiaomi calls it a Smart Privacy Display: at the hardware level, it cuts off legibility past a wide viewing angle, so someone sitting next to you sees far less of what is on your screen. The panel itself is a 6.4-inch LTPO AMOLED with a 1–120Hz variable refresh rate, 1,120 x 2,436 resolution and up to 4,000 nits of peak brightness, protected by Xiaomi Dragon Crystal Glass 3.

Two 200MP cameras, and a big battery
The camera setup is the other headline. Both the main camera and the periscope telephoto use 200MP sensors, with Leica optics on the main lens, and a 50MP ultrawide completes the trio. On paper, that is one of the strongest camera packages on any phone this year — though the periscope's zoom range and the usual Xiaomi image processing will decide how it holds up against Samsung and Apple in real photos.
Battery life looks strong too. The 7,000mAh cell is well above the 5,000mAh norm, and 100W wired plus 50W wireless charging mean it refills fast by either method. One caution: the China price converts to roughly $895, but global prices almost never match a straight currency conversion once taxes and regional costs are added, so expect the global figure to land higher.
Should you wait for it?
If you want a compact flagship with a standout camera setup, a rear screen you will actually use, and a battery bigger than most rivals, the 18 Pro is worth waiting for — at least until Xiaomi confirms the global date and price. If you need a phone right now, or you want a brand with a longer track record of global software support in your market, buy something already on sale and compare it with our Galaxy S26 Ultra page first. Check the confirmed global price before you pre-order: early import listings will not reflect the official figure.
