REDMAGIC 12 Pro Goes Global: 185Hz Screen, 8,400mAh Battery and a Built-In Fan

REDMAGIC announced the global version on November 3, 2026, a few weeks after the phone launched in China. The core hardware is unchanged, with one clear difference: the global model charges at 80W wired, down from 120W on the China version. The battery stays at 8,400 mAh, and wireless charging is also 80W.
A screen built for games, with no cutout
The 12 Pro has a 6.85-inch 1.5K OLED screen (2,688 x 1,216) that refreshes at 185Hz. That is faster than the 120Hz or 144Hz panels on most flagships, and it should make fast games and scrolling feel smoother. The selfie camera sits under the display, so there is no notch or hole-punch breaking up the picture. Touch sampling goes up to 960Hz, and the panel covers 100% of the DCI-P3 colour range.
The screen is the phone's strongest selling point after the battery. A full screen with no cutout is rare, and it suits a gaming phone: nothing sits on top of the game you are playing.
Cooling is the other headline
Gaming phones live or die by heat, and REDMAGIC has gone further than most here. The AquaCore 3.0 system pairs dual-loop liquid cooling with Liquid Metal 4.0, a vapour chamber and a 25,500 RPM turbo fan with RGB lighting. You can see the fan and the cooling pipes through the transparent back, in the Nightfreeze (Transparent Black) and Subzero (Transparent Silver) colours. The back is flat, with no camera bump.
There is also bypass charging, which powers the phone directly during long sessions instead of routing power through the battery. That should keep heat down when you play while plugged in. It is a small detail, but it is exactly the kind of detail that matters on a phone built for long sessions.

Who should buy it, and who should wait
Buy it if you play demanding games on your phone and want the fastest screen and the biggest battery in this class. The fan, the flat transparent back and the full screen make it a phone with a clear purpose, and the $949 starting price undercuts most camera-first flagships.
Wait if cameras matter most to you. There are only two rear cameras and no telephoto zoom lens, so a phone like the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is a better fit for photos. Also note the global charging step-down from the China model: 80W is still fast, but it is not the 120W the China version gets.
We have not tested this phone ourselves. This article is based on the maker's published details and public listings checked on November 4, 2026. Specs and prices can change, so check the seller before you buy.
